How does Dot Com Digital describe their product?
Dot Com Digital is our latest wellbeing resource, which gives children the skills to manage their own mental health and safety. Aimed at children aged 5-11, it includes over 24 themes, which enables schools to deliver a rich PHSE curriculum whilst fulfilling the requirements of the 2020 RSE framework. With 170 lessons it provides schools with a complete solution for teaching PHSE including an overview, videos, lesson plans and online and paper-based activities all hosted in a secure online platform.
Dot Com Digital is Created by Sharon Doughty, TV Presenter and abuse campaigner. It is an enhanced digital version of the Dot Com safeguarding programme which has been developed by children and safeguarding leads with input from Essex Police, the National Police Chief Council, and Internet Intelligence & Investigations.
What does it enable you to do?
Educate children to help prevent them becoming victims of crime themselves by exploring digital threats including online grooming, radicalisation, exploitation, bullying and more.
Support the identification of children who may be at risk of threats with help from the ‘Dot Minute’ feature, where children can request time with their teacher to discuss any worries or concerns.

Dot Com Digital gives schools a mechanism to ensure that children have all the knowledge they need to deal with real-life and teachers report that it’s a tool that gives children the confidence to manage their own problems and know how to ask for help.
It also gives them an emotional vocabulary and space and time to practice talking about their feelings and understanding their own behaviour and the behaviour they might experience.
The programme helps children understand behaviours such as bullying and grooming and gives them the skills and confidence to speak up if they’re worried about anything.
In summary, HeadteacherChat recommends Dot Com Digital because:
We love that it is supporting children with managing problems and how to ask for help.
We love that children learn through real-life stories, children can learn about risks they might come across in life and how they can deal with them in a safe way.
